The 2nd edition of the '10 Theses for Sustainability' call for proposals is now underway. This is the first degree award in Italy dedicated to sustainability at 360 degrees that enhances university theses from all disciplines, both humanistic and scientific. It stems from the awareness that the green transition is a systemic process that affects all aspects of our lives and involves all fields of knowledge.
The Prize
The Award is promoted by Fondazione Symbola, Luiss Guido Carli and Unioncamere with the support of Deloitte Climate & Sustainability, in collaboration with Consorzio Interuniversitario AlmaLaurea, Rete delle Università per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (RUS) and Consorzio Interuniversitario Nazionale per la Scienza e la Tecnologia dei Materiali (INSTM). The initiative is sponsored by the Rectors' Conference (CRUI) and the Ministry of Universities and Research.Because of this broad vision, the competition is divided into ten macro subject areas that group together all the study disciplines of Italian universities: Economics and Statistics - Legal, Political and Social Sciences - Civil, Environmental and Territorial Engineering, Architecture and Design - Antiquity, Literary, Artistic, Historical, Philosophical, Pedagogical and Psychological Sciences - Industrial and Information Engineering - Chemistry and Biology - Agriculture, Veterinary and Forestry Sciences - Earth Sciences - Mathematics, Physics and Informatics - Medicine.
The nominations
Applications can be submitted from 3 November until 31 January 2026 on the dedicated platform accessible from the Fondazione Symbola website, at https://symbola.net/progetto/10tesi. All those who have obtained a Master's or Single-Cycle Master's Degree (or equivalent qualifications) in the Academic Years 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 are eligible to apply.
